A full time Producer position at Austin TX, USA
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
We are currently looking to hire a full-time Podcast Producer with experience in the podcast space. This team member will work alongside the production team to help record and edit multiple shows per week with various talent/hosts. The office and studio are located in downtown Austin, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Dear Media Studio calendar and coordinate recordings between the Dear Media team and Talent/Hosts Record in studio and edit podcasts on a weekly basis Provide in studio direction to talent Work on multiple shows each week Manage podcast publishing and distribution Manage podcast editorial promotion Work with hosts and the Dear Media team on “show notes” and episode “title/description” each week Work with other departments to maximize opportunity and visibility of shows Provide direct links/hyperlinks in “show notes” for hosts and guests, advertisers, etc. (see The Skinny Confidential Him & Her episode show notes for examples) Manage growth strategy Additional responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree Past podcast production experience is highly preferred Past experience in radio production (a plus!) Experience in a client driven industry Experience working directly with or managing talent required Minimum of 1-2 years of full audio editing experience Proven experience editing audio files using Adobe Audition and Pro Tools
