The DSR Network, an established, rapidly growing, highly respected producer of podcasts on political and policy themes, is looking for a coordinator of content creation, producer and co-host of one or more of our podcasts. Ideal applicant will have a deep interest and background in international and domestic issues, some podcast production experience, and the desire to help grow the roster and reach of DSR programming. Will also take the lead on promoting programming on social media. Must be comfortable working with very high-level guests worldwide including current government officials. Hard-working, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-starter with ambition and high-standards sought. Strong academic background in political science, international affairs or public policy required. Excellent writing skills essential. Masters degree preferred. Recent masters grads accepted.

While the job is primarily remote, we prefer the candidate be from Washington DC to be able to attend meetings and plan events from time to time.

Responsibilities--

Play a central role as part of a small team shaping content and growth strategies for this company.

Edit, post, and distribute new podcast episodes in a timely manner.
Create dynamic video and audio content from podcasts and events for social media marketing.
Assist podcast hosts with the identification of topics for future episodes.
Develop strategies by which to grow podcast audiences including:
Increasing social media buzz for each new episode.
Finding new ways to distribute and reuse existing content.
Writing engaging and SEO friendly podcast descriptions.
Participate in the development of new podcast and on-demand content ideas (pod serials, virtual events, interactive programming), etc.
Generate invitation lists and materials for high level virtual and live events.
Special project work will be necessary from time to time to support our on-going growth efforts.
What You Bring to Us

Podcast production ability or high aptitude and willingness to learn
Familiarity with podcasting and podcast trends with a willingness to stay on top of industry trends.
Interest/Degree in political science, international relations or related field.
Experience posting to social media, including Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
An active interest in the media business and in building a new media company.
An ability to work with very high-level public officials, influencers, and others in the fields we cover.
Knowledge of podcast platforms and editing software or willingness & aptitude to learn
Strong planning skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong attention to detail.
A clear desire to help build a front-rank media company focusing on public policy and related areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
